Team Millie at Seaham Car Boot Sale

This weekend, Team Millie attended the Seaham Car Boot Sale as part of our ongoing fundraising journey in memory of our beautiful daughter, Millie.

Every event we attend is about so much more than fundraising. It's an opportunity to honour Millie's memory, raise awareness of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), and support the incredible work of the Great North Children's Hospital.

We brought along our Team Millie merchandise, including pens, pencils, rulers, tote bags, bracelets, badges, phone charms and many other handmade items, hoping to meet lots of people and share the story behind our fundraising.

Although the car boot sale was quieter than we had hoped, and not many people stopped to ask about why we were there or the story behind Team Millie, we were incredibly grateful for everyone who did visit our stall.

By the end of the day, we had raised an amazing £130. Every single pound brings us closer to our fundraising goal and helps us continue Millie's legacy by supporting children and families at the Great North Children's Hospital.

Days like these remind us that fundraising isn't always about having hundreds of customers. Sometimes it's about the generosity of a handful of people who choose to support your cause. Their kindness makes all the difference.

We'll continue attending events, sharing Millie's story and raising awareness of AML because every conversation, every donation and every act of kindness helps ensure that our beautiful daughter's legacy lives on.
