Why I support The Millie Rose Foundation

Millie was a loving, kind and incredibly sweet girl, and as a family we had the privilege of knowing Millie personally. I strongly support The Millie Rose Foundation because no family should ever have to experience what Kimberley, Makayla and Millie have been through. What happened has been truly heartbreaking.

If I can help to make even one families situation a little easier, provide support during an incredibly difficult time, or simply be there for someone who is going through something similar, then I want to do that through The Millie Rose Foundation. I want to help turn something heartbreaking into something positive that can make a lasting difference to other families.

My Experience Supporting Children

I have experience working with children with Special Educational Need (SEN) and have done so for the past three years. I also have close experience of SEN within my own family, and the children I have supported have been a huge inspiration to me.

I genuinely enjoy working with and supporting children, understanding their individual needs and helping them to reach their full potential. I believe every child deserves to be listened to, supported and given the opportunity to achieve the very best they can.

My Fundraising Experience

I really enjoy helping Kimberley and Makayla with their fundraising events. We recently held an event to raise money for the Great North Children's Hospital in Millie's memory, and being involved in this was an amazing and very rewarding experience.

Alongside supporting The Millie Rose Foundation, I have also helped raise money through my workplace for our own charity. One of the fundraising activities I took part in was a sponsored climb of Roseberry Topping with our learners. This gave me the opportunity to combine fundraising with supporting the people I work with, which I really enjoyed.

What I hope to bring to the foundation

I really enjoy supporting people and being part of something that can make a genuine difference. I am really looking forward to seeing The Millie Rose Foundation grow and develop, and most importantly, seeing how we can support families within our communities.

I would love to be part of the Foundation's journey and help create opportunities, support families and make a positive difference in memory of Millie.
