Why I support The Millie Rose Foundation

I support The Millie Rose Foundation because my granddaughter Millie Rose, sadly passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).

As a family, we feel that there needs to be much more awareness and information about AML. I want to help make sure that more people understand what AML is, know what signs and symptoms to look out for, and understand the importance of seeking help when something doesn't seem right.

If raising awareness can help another family recognise the signs sooner, then that can only be a good thing.

My fundraising experience

I have taken part in several charity rallies and swimming challenges over the years, raising money for different charities.

I have always believed in doing what i can to support good causes, and I am looking forward to putting my experience to good use for The Millie Rose Foundation.

What I hope to bring to the Foundation

As the oldest member of the team, I would like to think that I can bring my experience and knowledge to the foundation.

I have spent many years working in transport, so I hope my experience will come in useful, especially when it comes to organising day trips, travelling to different places and finding fun locations and activities for families to enjoy.

I want to help create opportunities for families to make happy memories together, while also helping to keep Millie's memory alive. Most importantly, I want to use my experience to support the foundation and help make a positive difference to other families.
